I have 3 receivers; 1 HR21 w/AM21, HR20 and H21.
The HR 20 and HR21 are in my living room and the H21 is located in my detached garage, 70 feet from my house. The 2 DVRs are connected to a 5LNB Slimline through a zinwell 6x8 and the H21 is connected to an old 18" dish on my garage. I just installed the H21 yesterday replacing my original 14 year old Sony recevier. The H21 was free since I had some hearts in my account. The garage setup has 2 coax, 1 for the H21 in my shop and the second line is run to a hookup for my 5th wheel camper where I move the H21 when we have family and freinds for visits. Since I now have a HD receiver I would like to update the dish.

I guess I have a few options.
1. I can purchase a SL3 (only need 99,101 & 103) in our area. But the current 18" location will not work for a SL3 (dish too big).
2. I can run 2 lines from the 6x8 to the garage, a total run of 150-200 feet of coax. Will that long of a run be too long for dependable reception?
3. I do not like the current coax runs. I have five coax running from the rear of the house to the front of my house( 4 D*, 1 OTA), a total run length 100'. So. I put in a SWM and run a single coax to the garage and use a SWM splitter once in the garage to go to the workshop and the camper. I would then run a single coax to my utility room(15') and use a SMW splitter to run to the 2 DVRs in my living room. Does this sound feasible?

#3 should work fine. That's what I'd do.
