Why can't Dish go ahead and give us HDNet full time until the package is announced and we can subscribe? They can obviously do to because it is on now (and looks great). I am not sure if there are any contractual reasons. That would help asssuage us until more HD channels are announced (and make us feel not so deprived at this time when we are reminded of the HD package on D*). Dish, please throw us a bone.

I second the motion, the commercials for the regular HDnet programming look very good. The only other programing on this channel this summer has been replays of NBA.

Its better launch an HD package like America's Top HD with many channels. So I'm sure HDNet is being withheld until such a package is launched via SuperDish.

I agree they should leave HD net on as a 8PSK owners sneek preview. :)

I hope they leave HDNet on tonight after the race. It would be nice to see it

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe I wouldn't feel like I wasted all that money buying the 8PSK module.

Heck, leave it on, they cut off the afternoon program while they were still detemining pole position. Charlie, you're are you actually trying to see how many of your HD owners you can pi** off???

Yeah, I was watching that too. That was really cheesey to cut off the program when it was hitting its finale.

I don't know whats going on here but it's my understanding that channel 9425 HDnet was supposed to be free this weekend. Now there is a charge of $5.95 to watch it this is not right as I am already paying $100.00 a year to watch the Discovery channel, I wonder if the people who have Direct TV have to pay $5.95 as well???? As far as I'm concerned when Charlie got mixed up with Mr La Franco (sp?)it has been nothing but nickel and diming people to death.

Thats the trouble with Corporate partnershiips, Charlie has lost control over whats right for his subscribers and whats wrong, he has become a puppet on a string.

The only thing free is the CART race, not anything else. It looks like Cheap Charlie is seeing if he can milk a few extra $'s out of his HD sub's by throwing in a couple of racing related PPV programs. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see a monthly charge for the HD demo channel. :nono2:

I think the problem is that dish spent so much money betting on the fact that they would buyout hughes that they are still recouping the costs of the failed transaction. So now they have to do that by charging for channels they would have charged for before the failed merger.
