DirecTV2PC with KVM

I ran into an interesting situation yesterday. I have been able to use my PC to watch shows via DirecTV2PC. Yesterday I needed to change my configuration to accommodate a DVI KVM switch. Not thinking anything of it I tried to use DirecTV2PC. The video show for about 2 seconds then it goes all static but with the audio. Then it stops and I get a message saying "The video content stopped playing because your monitor or driver does not support the playback of the protected content, or the status of your display device changed. Try updating your driver or re-selet the video content".

I'm guessing that there is some sort of communication between my video card and the monitor that is no longer happening because of the KVM? Has anyone else tried this setup, and if so, did you get it to work?

You'd need an HDCP-compliant DVI KVM switch. I doubt that exists.

Actually, looks like they do exist... google it.

I was afraid of that. I had a feeling it had to with HDCP. Thanks for the info.
