This just came down this afternoon, and since it's official-looking, better give a heads-up.

There is a new virus called W32.Mimail.A@mm which is a e-mail virus. It will arrive from "admin@domainname.com" with the following text:

Hello there,
I would like to inform you about important information regarding your email address. This email address will be expiring. Please read attachment for details.

Best regards,
Administrator

The attachment is called message.zip .

This one is absolutely valid... I got a few of these emails today.

We initally thought it was a scam e-mail. SpamAssassin was marking it as SPAM, so some of our users never even saw the message.

I got a notice from Starband about this one a couple of days ago. I haven't actually received the virus laden e-mail yet though.
