Watching the 6 Nations Rugby Match, Ireland vs France.
What a GREAT Job BBC America is doing. I hope the people at Spike are watching, as they RUINED the Aussie National Rugby league Championship game, with there LOUSY stretch-o-vision and Commercial breaks in a sport with NO TIME OUTS or Commerical breaks. SPIKE TV, watch how BBC America is doing this and FOLLOW suit as Spike plans on airing more NRL games this yr. Rugby is Great in HD, and has NO COMMERCIAL BREAKs.

You are talking about a channel which runs CSI for many hours per day, bad movies for the most part, infomercials for 1/3 of its schedule and Enzite/Maxaderm commercials. They have no clue how to air decent programming, let alone footy (soccer, rugby or Aussie rules). At least ESPN had the common sense to air the Aussie Rules Grand Final without commercials. They even ran the pre-game and only broke for commercials with Network Ten did.
Hopefully, FOX Soccer Channel HD and FOX Soccer Channel Plus HD will follow the lead of BBCA and ESPN.
Finally, prior to the US hosting the FIFA World Cup, it was a common practice among US networks, including ESPN, would run commercial breaks during a game. The FIFA World Cup and the MLS have shown broadcasters that they no longer break fro commercials during Soccer games. Rugby on ESPN, ESPN, Altitude, and FOX Sports Rocky Mountain also respect rugby matches and do not run commercials during the course of the game.

I am NOT holding my breath. Spike has announced they plan on Showing more National Rugby League, from Austrailia. They showed the Championship game last yr, and RUINED IT. I am just HOPING, that with other networks doing a good job, and Spike having Exclusive US rights to the NRL, that Spike may step up.

What Spike shows isn't real Rugby anyway, it's the junk Rugby League - a totally different sport from Rugby Union. BBC America is showing the real Rugby [Union]!!!

I didn't see the Rugby on Spike, but I did see it on BBCA. Basically they just rebroadcast what came from the real BBC... so you can probably expect it to be top notch as much as our own professional sports broadcasting.
I'd like to say that I do think BBCA HD has been great though. There is a lot of HD content, and the few things that aren't are upsized and look almost as good as HD. I was watching a Doctor Who from 2007 earlier and if you looked close enough you could tell the quality wasn't quite HD, but it was 1000% better than the SD channel, even if you zoomed it in to fit full screen. :)

Viacom should have kept The Nashville Network. I can't stand SPIKE.
