I have an HR20-700 and beyond 2/16 7:00pm there is no guide data on the guide for WGN. Just says "To Be Announced". I only noticed this b/c I record Star Trek The Next Generation at 1am everynite. Same thing for the G4 channel. All other channels guide date fine
Maybe these channels are switching to HD that day???

Wouldn't bet on that, unless you just like losing money...in which case you might just as well send it to me...

I think this is part of a far larger problem. I was scanning my to do list for beyond this weekend and many of the programs listed in the series manager list show zero episodes to be recorded. At first I thought it might be due to the Olympics but the problem is not confined to the other network stations. Something is clearly amiss with the guide. The search engines come up empty as well for many series .. Annoying.

Don't get too excited... TBSHD (already HD) is showing the same thing.

Not sure, but if you have recently received the newest NR update, your guide date may have flushed...
Additionally, if you want to 'force' a guide update, do a menu rest of your receiver two times within 30 minutes. Your guide WILL be flushed, and new guide date should start to download. Just remember to check your upcoming recordings first...

First of all i'm not talking about wgn 9 that is for people in chicago i'm talking about the national wgn on 307. And no my dvr just didnt update software ....it updated on 1/27.......17 days go.......so my data is not flushed. And yah I now notice TBS HD showing the same thing. Wonder what is going on with these channels. I first noticed this a couple of days ago and thought it was a temp glitch. Seems like it would have been resolved by now.

I looked and mine too stops on 2/16, while the channels on the same screen have data.
R15-300
Beginning with this coming Tuesday at 6:00 PM, my program guide is showing "To Be Announced" on several major channels, including both Fox feeds (E/W), FX, TBS, G4, and WGN. It has been like this for several days -just does not seem to be updating these stations. Other channels are fine. Red button reset didn't have any effect.
Ideas?

As this has expanded beyond just the HD or SD receivers, I have merged the HD and SD threads and put the result in the General forum.
Cheers,
Tom
Anyone heard from customer service on this?

They seem mystified.
It does appear to me that Direct is shuffling some xsponders around, my signal strengths on 119 keeps jumping up and down.
It would not be surprise to find that Direct is moving everything off of 119 and consolidating the guide data source in preparation for the new sat.

Had a similar problem with one of my locals last week. Once I got the station to get in touch with Tribune Media Services about their guide data, it was discovered that the file had been corrupted - once they restored the data, everything was fine.
Not sure how to escalate this beyond the CSR's - even via emailall I got was the standard reboot answer and then to check my signal levels for 119 despite explaining that this was not isolated. Thankfully, my local station rep was understanding once I was able to explain that the issue was being experienced by multiple subscribers.

I'll worry when I don't see guide data for something that is on right now. We have seen this before, and will see it again... I've never actually missed any recordings from it, because it always shows up in time for the show.

This is what I was seeing when I posted my thread on The Golf Channel last week. I've seen it too on both of my HR21-700s

Tribune: Rebecca Baldwin: RBaldwin@Tribune.com or TMS-LA Feedback: listings@zap2it.com if this all doesnt work report it to Directv at: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageIFnorail.jsp?assetId=P4960016#h:639.6
Ive notified all but it may help if others report it to them also.Hope this helps.
I have numerous gaps in my guide, including for current shows. On different DVRs there are different gaps.
I just spoke to a CSR at DirecTV and he said that the Engineering department was aware of the problem, probably caused by the most recent software update, and that they are working on a fix. No estimate as to when that might happen.
Good Evening

Guide data for 248 FX only goes out about 10 hours on two R15-300s.
Calls to DTV tech support got no substantive response and canned answers.
Last night my guide data on FX went for 7 days. Currently it's down to 4 hours.

Guide data on FX (248) goes out a whopping 4 hours on SD
Called DTV TS and all I got was the rope-a-dope. They blamed FX for not sending them the data.
Called a buddy in the neighborhood who has Dish and the FX info is in their guide.
DTV threats us customers like mushrooms... in the dark and buried up to our necks in $hit. Really getting annoyed.

Guide data on FX is all the way out on all of my receivers... full listings, course this would be FX HD, I don't know about the SD listings

So I guess when my guide data went from 7 days to 4 hours over night, then DTV must have send some of the data back to FX.

Maybe DTV sent the FX data to Dish so Charlie's guide was populated.

Just spoke to DTV and now they tell me that there will be a software fix to resolve the missing data problem... but they don't know when :nono2:
This just gets better and better.

My guide data has just now within the last 45 minutes started coming back for F/X, but it apparently wiped out all the season passes I had for the channel.
I can't be sure until the new schedule data gets indexed and I can actually search for the shows affected, but I think I'll have to recreate all the SP's I had on F/X. Right now, Damages, Nip/Tuck, Sons of Anarchy and Rescue Me SP's appear to have no channel associated with them.
It also wiped out the Channel logos for F/X on all 4 directivos
I tried resetting twice as mobandit suggested and it did indeed seem to fix the problem.
To be more specific, I reset via the menus (not the reset button), waited for the DVR to go through its setup until I got live TV and then did the same thing again.
Current shows (of which there had been many gaps) appeared immediately and future shows quickly filled in. It did take a while for the To Do list to update, but it eventually found everything that needed to be recorded.

The program guide has not been fix for virtual channels 1-2 thru 1-5 and 1-10.
Folks in the San Francisco Bay Area who have purchased the AM21.
I haven't had guide data on any of the Starz channels for about three days.
