You know you're from Alabama if...

1. You measure distance in "trailers", as in "They're about six er seven trailers down the dirt road"
2. You've had to switch from "heat" to "a/c" in the same day.
3. You know that stores don't have bags; they have sacks.
4. You see a car running in the parking lot with no one in it.
5. You use "fix" as a verb. Example: I'm fixin' to go to the 7-11.
6. All the festivals across the state are named after a fruit, vegetable, grain, insect or animal.
7. You have outdoor security lights on your house and garage and you leave the doors unlocked.
8. You carry jumper cables in the trunk - for your own car.
9. You know what "cow tipping" is and have done it at least once.
10. You only have four spices: salt, pepper, ketchup, and Tabasco.
11. The local paper covers state and national news on one page, but requires six more pages for local gossip and high school sports.
12. You think that the first day of deer season is a national holiday.
13. You find a temperature of 105 degrees "a little warm".
14. You know all four seasons: almost Summer, Summer, still Summer, and hunting season.
15. You don't ."take", you "carry" or "tote", as in "You want me to carry you down to the 7-11?"
16. Going to Wal-Mart is a favorite past-time known as "goin wal-martin" or off to "Wally World."
17. You describe the first cool snap (below 70 degrees) as good chili weather.
18. A soft drink isn't soda, cola, or pop, it's Coke.
19. you call it a "buggy" and not a shopping cart.
20. You mow the front yard and discover a car you thought was stolen seven years ago
...you are fixin' to send this to all your friends who are from Alabama but live somewhere else now.
