As much as I wanted to see the actual race, I'm having even more fun checking out HDNet's offerings. It's actually interesting to watch instead of being just eye candy (like DiscHD).

HD Net ran a nice demo of their programming from 5:00 to 5:30 MST and Dish has left the feed up after the cuttoff time. It is now showing a soccer game. :)

Yup I have been watching the soccer game, very nice.

I can't wait until I have HDNet full time!

Dish must have seen the comments about the early cuttoff yesterday. :)

Now if they would leave it in free preview untill it goes full time, a lot of us would be happy campers! :D

Very happy campers at that..... I'm really enjoying this little preview. Soccer looks absolutely fantastic. Chick Corea looked and sounded great.

I watched the Soccer, then the basketball, then the show that ran after that, and now am I watching some thing about a rock slide.

The graphic on the screen says the race will resume at 6:30, this was a nice little preview. :)

This is cool. The Super Speedway movie which was a $5.99 PPV on Friday is airing now for free on HDEvents. :D

Was gone much of the weekend so I didn't see a lot of HDNet.
However, what I saw looked great. I saw a little late this afternoon but had to leave for a couple of hours. Was hoping it would still be on when I got back. I got back around 7:15. The events channel is now PPV. Why can't (or maybe I should say why want) E* give us HDNet for a month or so until the package is announced. After all, D* subscribers had it free for a year. We need more than little tidbits of HD. Maybe E* is counting on the fact that we have invested not a little money with E* and are unwilling to make a financial commitment to D*. If things don't change soon, I'm afraid more people may consider the move. Like I said, the HDNet preview this weekend was great (what I saw) but it's not enough.

It must have just stay on for me after the race. I eventually tuned away and when I tried to return it was PPV. Sorry if I mislead.

Did anyone notice that if you did not change the channel after the race you got to watch the PPV movies for FREE? :)

Nice Imax films.

Yeah, I just kinda said that.
