After sometime of not watching TV, my Dish Network goes into standby mode and it will say press select to watch TV is there a way to rid this? I dont understand cause Inactivity is disabled and on my HDTV in the bedroom I like to listen to music at night before I fall asleep and I like it on when I wake up to and on my TV I dont have to have a picture I can have just audio, but when I start it at night it works but when I wake up in the morning no audio just press select to watch TV.

Thanks.

Try changing your remote address.

Someone near you might be a Dish subscriber, using the same address.

Read the instructions for your remote for instructions.

There is a nightly reboot scheduled, and the receiver goes into Standby when that completes. Create an AutoTune timer for the time / channel you want to "wake up".

The default reboot is 3AM, but you might not want the AutoTune for several more hours since it would be a change from the silence after the reboot.

Preferences.. Turn off the 4 hour Inactivity standby mode.. In the menu , under preferences.. Go to number 8 "Inactivity Standby" .. Disable.

it's your nightly download. Nothing will shut that off. If it is at an inopportune time, you can change the time of the download. If is found under "Preference" then "Downloads".

On my 722, it's Preferences (8) then Updates (4).
