"Justified" airs 16 Mar at 10:00 Eastern, 7:00 Pacific on FX.
This is based on a character from Crime novelist Elmore Leonard's short story Fire in the Hole.
"From producer Graham Yost (Boomtown) comes this new FX drama about Raylan Givens, a sharp-dressing, taciturn U.S. marshall. The series takes place in the impoverished hollers of Kentucky."
Western style justice + Timothy Olyphant = eye candy with drama!!!

Have seen a few spots for this and looks to be pretty good. I'll be watching.
Looks like Shane from The Shield is also in it

This certainly has a lot of potential and we're big fans of Timothy Olyphant.
Someone on another thread was complaining about nothing on, but I'm finding myself struggling to set a schedule for March and April as cable channels add new shows to the schedule.

Yeah, this week's TV Guide is full of new shows premiering and returning shows like V, Fringe, Army Wives, and a whole host of others!

I'll be DVRing this for sure. FX has a lot of good shows, and has some good old ones too. I just got hooked on The Shield...starting season 2 soon.

He was great in Deadwood, though a bit overshadowed by Ian McShane's powerful presence. I'll definitely be setting the DVR...

FX has been promoting the heck out of this show.
Graham Yost - good
Timothy Olyphant - good
Elmore Leonard - good
Will be curious to see what writers/directors they've secured for this show. Either way, I am also looking forward to it.

Timothy Olyphant and Elmore Leonard are tops on our list. Plus my father was once the sheriff in the next county over from Harlen. It will be pretty wild if it comes close to the stories he told.
The pilot is going to run over by 11 minutes, so make sure you set those VCR's and DVR's accordingly. :)

Recorded, just have not yet watched. I hope this goes along with Sons of Anarchy to help fill my Shield and The Unit void, especially with 24 leaving this year.
I liked it. Sort of Walker, Texas Ranger with people that can actually act. :)

For us, it's a winner! We had high expectations and they were met in all areas - writing, acting, directing, and casting.

I liked the other two deputy sherrifs also, the mild-mannered sniper guy and the little bad-@$$ female deputy. Excellent pilot, that became a recurring recording also.

Yeah, the quite guy seemed liked a dork, then he ended up being a pretty tough guy.
This one is definitely in my top 5 list. I like all the actors in this one. And how can if be bad with Natalie Zea in it? I just perused IMDB and they show that she's in 11 episodes and Olyphant is in 10. :p And not only did they rename the show but they renamed one of the characters. If IMDB is to be believed. The young 2 gun female marshal was Rachael Dupree and now she's Rachel Brooks. Yeah, I know. What difference does that make. None. I just found it interesting.
I have 1 negative comment. This program has the goofiest schedule I've ever seen in over 50 years of TV box watching. Epi 1 was Tue night at 9 and 10, and repeated a number of times. Epi 2 was at 1 am this morning with no repeats this week. Epi 3 is Tue night again with a number of repeats and Epi 4 is 1 am next Sunday morning. Glad there's a New option on the timer.

As with Damages and other shows, they do not mark the 1am shows as repeats, which they are. Fx is bad about this, and a lot of times, the Damages 1 am showings are "new", because they are a 3 minute synopsis of the last episode. I just let the HR22 record it, then delete it. It will be on Tue night every time, as far as the "new" episode goes.
Okay, so I'm old and confuse easily :p After reading your post I went back to the schedule and saw I should have paid more attention. I was looking at episode numbers on the Dish guide and not the length or episode title. So far it appears the odd epi numbers will be the full episodes and the even numbers will be the 3 minute whatevers. They shouldn't do that to an old man.

Yeah, its very weird and took me a bit to notice at first. After recording SoA, The Shield, Damages, Nip Tuck and Justified, I am used to their tricks ;)

They are deputy US Marshals.

Not even close to Walker. That show was total cheese. Justified oth is really great. It's more a cross between Sheriff Bullock from Deadwood meets Doc Holliday from Tombstone.

Loved the latest episode. This thing is really well put together and kinda funny!
I wouldnt say I loved it but I will be watching for a few more weeks to see how it goes. Its a good show but not sure if I want to get involved in another show lol. Burn Notice is great to but I find myself not really watching it anymore either. We shall see. I will watch at least the next 2 or 3 though.
