I'm looking to use the DPP44 multiswitch and I need to know the maximum number of users that can be serviced. A specification sheet states:
"Supports connection of up to four satellite receivers in any combination:
– Single-cable connection to DISH Pro Plus-compatible receivers, when each is used with a DP Plus Separator."
The DPP44 has four outputs which can support four single tuners. The specification seems to state that the DPP44 can also support four dual tuner receivers using DP Plus Seperator's.
Is this correct? That would mean that the DPP44 can support up to eight tuners. I have doubts.
Also, what is the maximum length RG-6 cable run that I can use with the DPP44 multiswitch assuming optimal signal input.
Also, can anybody point me to detailed specs for the DPP44?
Thank you.

Well, first of all,

The DPP44 will handle 4 duo-TV receivers as long as they're using DPP Separators. Max cable's about 150-200 feet. I'd plan on 150, to be honest.

There may be specs on tech.dishnetwork.com.

Thank you, Coldsteel.
Since I can stack three DPP44's, this means that I can support up to twelve dual tuner receivers on a single node.
I need to support users out to three hundred feet. RG-11 is probably mandatory, though it is not very fun to install. Is it possible to do this by amplifying the input signals from the satellite dish LNB's or do I need to put amplifiers on the outputs of the DPP44?
I'm hoping for the first solution (fewer amplifiers) but I'm pretty sure that I will need to use line extenders.

I'm wondering if that trunk connections could handle 150-200' distance each; then three DPP44 could span 400' plus a length of drops to STB.

What exactly are you trying to do ? This certainly does not sound like a typical residential install...

No, this is not a residential install. This is feeding a floor on a ten story building. The distribution point is in the middle of the floor and the users have window offices.

No. The "trunk" connections are really just the outputs of splitters; there's no amplification involved.
