Any word on DirecTv offering this to customers the way Dish does?
I would rather they not waste the bandwidth. If I want to watch CBS in HD, I can do so with an antenna. There are other HD channels coming up that they could add instead.

There are many, many people who can't get CBS OTA, however. I would also prefer national HD channels be added before any locals. East and West local HD would be good, only once the bandwidth is there.

Spaceway.
When they start using their Ka-band licenses and get 100% local coverage. Look for Murdoch to get national Network HD.

Could you elaborate on this a little? I've been really busy for the last 6 mos. and haven't kept up. I seem to remember something about Mavs boy wanting to take HDNet national somehow, too - terrestrial, maybe?
And, what's with the Ka-licenses?
Oh, how I dream of being able to watch almost exclusively HD...

- Forget it, I just googled and learned all about it. Sounds cool, although the marketing speak sound like it's focus is somewhat corporate, and "broadband applications" rather than streaming entertainment.
