I have had dish for about a week now. How do I tell what series of dish I have? It is an oval shape, is metal , and has turbo HD printed on it.

Second, about signal levels-- I recieve the 129, 119, and the 110 birds. My signal levels are about 60 on 129 - 77 average on 119 and around 80 on 110. Normal?

Yes, those are normal (and good) signal strengths.

Dish is a 1000.2, for Western Arc.

Those signal strengths are at the upper edge of the scale. You'll never see the 100's with the newer rcvrs. (Maybe except the 211k) :icon_cool :icon_cool :icon_cool

Welcome (Dr Pepper)... and those do indeed sound like good solid signals.

Signal strengths on ALL dish receivers are now quite similar, the 211k will never see the north side of 90 unless you maybe hit it with a 1M dish in the CONUS.

The newer stuff maybe -
I have a Legacy 4900 that shows 110+ on 119/ 110 satellites (DishPro Plus TWIN, whether I use a Legacy adapter or straight (I have another DishPro receiver I can use for powering the DPP Twin)) .
