View Full Version : Sabres at Rangers tonight 3/7/10 in HD on channel 638-1

The Sabres are playing at the Rangers tonight and should be available to us in Sabres territory in HD on channel 638-1. The 6 Sabres road games against the NYC teams are produced in HD starting this season, while all other road games are SD only. So far the guide is not listing the game in HD on 638-1; it's only listed in SD on 638.

Gametime is 7PM - I hope someone at D* realizes there is an HD feed available as they have missed past games like this and only shown the SD feed.

Hopefully, D* will screw up and turn on MSG HD 634 @ 7pm.. ;)

They had a little hiccup at the beginning when the video froze, and then the HD feed of the Clemson @ Wake Forest game was on, even though the guide only shows that game in SD on channel 636, with 636-1 showing TBA (I wonder why the Clemson / Wake game isn't on in HD on 636-1???). But now the Sabres game is on in HD as I hoped. Thanks D*!

Good for you. You're lucky - the SD PQ on MSG+ is particularly poor tonight.

Did anyone not get audio for the game? I'm playing back a recording, and it's dead silent. Wondering if it's my box (which is playing other recordings fine) or if it was the broadcast.

I had the audio on my recording.

Audio was fine for me watching it live. Maybe something got screwed up during the recording.

Did you get part of the NYC MSG broadcast for the game? Here in NYC, Sam Rosen, before each period, kept saying...for those of u in Bufallo, we'll switch you now to Rick Jenrette and Harry Neale (Harry Neale is still doing games?)

He lives in Buffalo and took over color commentary when Jim Lorentz retired.

Yes, we had basically the Rangers HD video feed for the entire game (pregame, gameplay and intermissions) but during the actual gameplay we get the audio feed of the Sabres announcers.
