I know the standard DirecTivo cannot record HD....but can it take the HD signals and convert them down to SD for recording...Im asking this because with the football season starting soon...I might have to bite the bullet and do the upgrade to HD though I was hoping I could hold off until the HD DirecTivos ship....But todays announcement by CBS to have an HD game of the week on ST plus any college game that might be available has me thinking seriously about not waiting.
