Okay, the TV season ended two months ago, and won't start up again until mid-September, so.... does anyone remember the outstanding questions that the continuing shows used to keep us waiting....

24 - So, just what happened to Jack and President Palmer? Is Palmer still alive?

Angel - Since Angel and Buffy take place in the same universe, will we hear anything about the Sunnydale Sinkhole? And, how are they going to write in Spike and write out Cody?

CSI - So, what will happen to Grissom? Will the surgery be successful?

Enterprise - So the Captain got kidnapped by the Borg, and got turned in Locutas, and they're going to attack earth.... oh wait, wrong Enterprise....

I dont see the Everwood repeats on WB anymore, are they taking that show off the air? I think it was getting good before the season ended.

If a spoiler occurs but no one watches the show anymore, does it make a noise :p (My Finger Is Itchy To Delete The Season Pass To Enterprise)

My PVR only got the 1 hour of Alias (Curse you timer based recording), which I still haven't watched. I'm hoping they rerun the two hour finale before the new season starts so I can see what happens.

Funny that you bring up what was considered by one magazine a few years ago to be the best cliffhangers in television. Don't remember the name of the magazine (Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide perhaps). All that I know is the following:

10. Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Best of Both Worlds
June 18-24, 1990 - Part 1
Septemer 24-40, 1990 - Part 2

1. Dallas
March 21, 1980 - A House Divided
November 7 & 9, 1980 - No More Mr. Nice Guy
November 14, 1980 - Nightmare
November 21, 1980 - Who Done It? (aka Who Shot JR?-2nd highest rating for a regular show in history)

The funny coincidence is that both shows had their cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, and resolved it at the beginning of season 4. It just was a longer wait.
