Hello, I need to get some answers and help. I currently subscribe to dishnetworks 250 package with locals, however I dont have a dvr. I wanna know if dish will upgrade me to a dvr receiver, and how much would it cost?
Also I dont have a hd tv, so I am going to need one for 2 digital tvs, dual tuner base dvr if I understand correctly, what would you suggest? I cant afford a new hd tv right now though, so if you can direct me to the dvr that dish would upgrade me too, or should I just buy my own dvr, if so *should the dvr be brand new* and what are said fees for the dvr?
thanks

thanksThe package of programming has nothing to do with upgrading to a DVR. You need to call DISH and see what you qualify for. Nobody else can tell you what their experience is with you as a customer. You can go to DISH'S site and read about DVRs that they will lease you or you can google for information.

If you need two TVs serviced, a 722k would provide dual outputs and a DVR, and if it's replacing your current receiver it would only be the $6 DVR fee monthly. If you were planning on using it in tandem the 722k would become "primary" and your secondary receiver would cost you probably $5.
The actual cost of the Dishin' It Up upgrade would be subject to whatever your current customer status is with Dish. It may cost up to $200 depending (from what I udnerstand right now).
Call or chat with them and ask.
