I have a 1000+ pointing to the 4 western arc satellites, 110, 118,119,129...
Is it possible to repoint this dish to the eastern arc satellites?

No.
You'd need a 1k.4 and a wing for 118.

Not really - you need to replace it with a 1000.4. And probably add a wing dish for 118 if you still want what's there.

Isn't the 1000+ just the same as a 500+, but with a different LNB?
If so, I've seen references on the other site that there's an "Eastern Arc Repoint Kit" available for the 500+. This is referred to as a 1000.5, but is this kit only available to installers?
And I don't need 118 any longer, since the Charlotte Locals are on 129 and 61.5...

So all you need is the standard Eastern Arc setup - 1k.4

I'm hoping to save money on buying a 1000.4 if I can just convert my 1000+/500+ to a 1000.5.

The only difference between those two are the addition of a DP Single (or Dual) LNB for 129 on the 1000+ dish, which is deleted on the 500+ dish.

All you need is the 1000.4 dish, which uses the same mast w/strut arms assembly as your Plus dish. You can also remove the DPP44 switch and connect the lines directly to the LNB unless you have more than 3 receivers.
