Just what we need another lawsuit. Wondoer if the channels will put their assets on display during the trial?

I don't know this one sounds like a pretty legit lawsuit. It sounds like D* has a contract with them stating that D* will get a better price than anyone else for their service. D* gets to send in an auditor every now and then to verify they are getting the best price (the auditor doesn't tell D* what everyone else pays, just if D* is getting the best price). During the last audit D* was not getting the best price, seems like a breach of contract to me.

Not a better price, the SAME price as everyone else...

Actually, it is not known if DirecTV is getting the same price or paying higher. Playboy will not let the auditor release the results of the audit.

I would say the above mentioned channels have their assets on display 24/7 trial or not. :D

An interesting process: You send out a single scout and if the scout doesn't return, you declare war.

You need to modify the analogy a little here.

More like you send out the scout and the other side captures and confines him, he is able to communicate to you that he is okay but is not able to communicate any of the information he was dispatched to gather, so then you declare war.

Who in the hell still pays for porn in this day and age?

Who in the hell still pays for porn in this day and age?People who have discovered that buying more than one or two PPV sessions is more costly than a monthly subscription?

The other guys offer seven different services on a monthly basis and six of those on an annual subscription. There's even a couple of two-fer combinations.

Both things you mentioned are paying for porn.

You completely missed my point.

You completely missed my point.Perhaps you didn't make a point. You made a statement that suggests either that people shouldn't watch porn or they can watch it but not pay for it. You don't need to visit why people shouldn't watch porn, but why they shouldn't pay for it demands some rationale to make a point. You probably can't imagine subscribers buying PPVs from DIRECTV either, but it is obvious that it is a very high priority revenue stream for DIRECTV given the amount of bandwidth they are devoting to it.

Regardless of the monetary value you put on porn, DIRECTV isn't in the business of giving programming away. Subscribers are paying $12.99/month (or $9.99 for a four hour block) and DIRECTV is trying to make sure they are getting the best deal anyone else is.

I was insinuating that since porn is free online that paying to watch in on TV seems silly. I was attempting to be humorous.

And therefore doesn't affect you, so why are you here complaining about what actual DirecTV subscribers are posting?

true, but I understand the dropped off of high definition because it brought out the flaws and short comings of the actors and actresses in the shows:lol:

PlayboyTV HD seemingly never got off the ground, seeing as I couldn't verify one provider carrying it when it supposedly went live.
