Anyone with the E system warranty EVER have a hassle?

I myself once tripped and splashed a bit of water into my old 4700. E replaced the receiver and never bothered me although technically it shouldnt of been covered. There was a bit of flame and white smoke out of the receiver it was nice E covered it :)

I ask this question specifically since tng tony is unwilling to get the warranty because it has as list of excuded problems.

Its my belief E will cover almost anything under warranty because if they attempt to charge you when they get the box back you will almost certinally cancel your service.

I guess they track this so if your receiver gets say flooded out repetively they might question it.

Ok anyone out there?

The sysem warranty is a shinning star of the service and a real bargain at $2 a month

I know someone that had their receiver struck by lightening and it was not covered under warranty but they covered it anyways sending them a replacement but said they had to get the warranty in which they got the $4.99 a month one and also they said that it was still a $30 service charge for someone to come out if needed.

Anyone that wants to be a self insurer certainly can be but for me $24/Yr. is too cheap to pass up. I bought it for my 501 but cashed in on a 3000 that died, I am already money ahead and I now have a $150 PVR 508 to go along with my 501 so I now have twice the chance of cashing in. ANYBODY THAT DOSEN'T INVEST $1.99 IS FOOLISH.
