Is it possible to subscribe to the Fox Sports Net stations on an a la carte basis? I am only interested in Fox Sports Southwest not the total Fox Sports Net package.

Thanks in advance!

DirecTV (and Dish Network) give you YOUR Fox Sports Net member in the basic package. That means if you live in, say Texas, you get FSN-SW, if you live in SoCal, FSN-W and so on. With all of the games of the various teams on it.

The pay extra packages carry the other FSN members. WITHOUT THE LOCAL SPORTS TEAMS ON IT. It is an all or nothing deal.

I assume that you are a displaced Astros fan (or some other Texas team). Doesn't work that way. If you get FSN-SW and live outside the normal FSN-SW region, the pro teams will be blacked out.

If you live in the State of Texas you will receive Fox Sports Net Southwest automatically. If you do not live in Texas and you want that channel you will have to Subscribe to the Direc Tv Sports Pack for $10 a month. You can't just say I want Fox Sports Net Southwest give me just that channel. No it's an all or nothing package. You Subscribe to one you will get them all. If you are wanting to see the Astros, Rangers, Spurs, Mavericks, Rockets, or Dallas Stars just subscribing alone to the sports packs won't be enough. You will need to Subscribe accordingly to whatever team you are wanting to see. Example if you want to see the Astros or the Rangers you will have to subscribe to MLB Extra Innings. Same for Basketball, or hockey. if you live in Texas depending on where you live. you should receive these games anyway. if you live outside of Texas you'll have to subscribe to the sports package accordingly. Usually when there is a game they try to show the Home team Call of the game usually. If the Astros were playing in St. Louis and you lived in Texas. You'd get to see the game on Fox Sports Net Southwest if it was on that channel. if you live outside of Texas and they were playing St. Louis and the game was on Fox Sports Net Midwest (The Cardinals Channel) You'd see the game on Fox sports net midwest. hope that clears alot of this thread up
