I used to live in Chicago, but now live on the Illinois/Iowa border (the Quad Cities area.. Davenport, Ia and Rock Island, IL).

Directv has the locals in HD, and has for over a year... but DISH still doesn't. wtf?

Any specific links where I can keep track of when they may be added?
Has anyone from around here heard anything?

Frustrating!

Unless DISH has announced a specific date your guess is as good as any.
The Quad Cities channels have been uplinked for testing for a few weeks.

It looks like DirecTV will be losing WHFB Channel 4 this week ...

Perhaps DISH will use the occasion to upgrade to HD? :)

Thanks.
Do they post upcoming HD locals on the Dish site? I suppose I'll stop there next.
DirecTV does have the upper hand with the local HD channels, but I lived a year with their garbage equipment.
I would have been wondering wtf happened to Channel 4. Idiots!
I'm glad to be back with DiSh...now they need to get all of these locals up!

Important Information for DIRECTV Subscribers

We are pleased to confirm that Citadel Communications Company and DirecTV have finalized a new carriage agreement. The agreement achieves a goal of ours from the outset of these negotiations: terms and carriage conditions that are fair and reasonable to both parties. Importantly, it allows DirecTV subscribers to continue receiving CBS4 without any interruption whatsoever.

Thank you for your patience, and the support shown us, over the past several weeks.

Ray Cole, President
Citadel Communications Company

I didn't like my experience with DirecTV, so I'll just be patient and wait for the HD locals on DiSh.
The lag on the D* receivers made me want to smash the stupid things!
