I have noticed that the virtual channels one , San Francisco Bay Area, are missing from the guide. However I am able to do a signal test for 1-1, 1-6 - 1-9, and 1-11 - 1-12 are showing 98% signal. What happen?
I am using the am21 for my OTA sub channels that are not available from the satellite.

Ive never heard of OTA channels starting with 1. Have you RESET your OTA, and then rerun the INITIAL SETUP?

DirecTV uses www.zap2it.com as their database for local channels and populate your AM-21 according to your zip code. What has likely happened is that your local channel(s) has made some sort of change and zap2it hasn't been updated to reflect it. The AM21 cannot scan for channels, so your options include contacting the local station and/or zap2it to get them on the same wavelength, or wait until they figure it out.

I should add that the AM21 has not been programmed to scan for channels. My H20-100 can scan for channels, so DirecTV knows how to program for that function, but they choose to not provide the same functionality for the AM21... a "bummer" for those of us without any foreseeable option for locals and a quickly dwindling supply of H20 receivers.

Do you have them set to show up in both the Antenna setup location and in your custom guide if you are using one?

I just wanna know what channel is remapping to channel 1. I guess since it's all virtual it doesn't really matter what number a station picks. ;)

Virtual Channel One is from RF channel 22 KAXT. They have been granted an FCC license to show virtual channel. If you check in your area. You will find that some stations have the RF channel of X to maintain their original analogue number.

This is precisely why I will be slightly reluctant to give up my HR20 in favor of an HR24. I have to choose between reliable OTA and MRV. I am sure MRV will win out and I will end up with an AM21 but I'm just sayin'...
I think you can report ota guide issues here.

The HR20 will do MRV. It will also work with SWim (single wire coax). So with your 2 current cables you can dedicate 1 for the Sat and 1 for OTA. No real need for an HR24 and AM21 - unless you just want to upgrade your DVR.
