Downgrading a reciever to factory firmware.

Can you rollback (downgrade) to the software that was preinstalled on a 301 when you got it?

When you got the 301 originally (and i am not talking about 2nd hand one) - it comes in a virgin state (without any software on it...)
All the new machines should have instead "an activation software" (that would require customer to activate his machine, by downloading software that is in the stream, ..so after the download is taken - customer would end up with the most current software...

On the other subject - downgrading to the older software is "technically" possible, but definatly is not for every average "Joe" out there..as it would require certain skills to "manually" rollback the IRD's software...
