I found out that I have been paying a TV2 receiver connection fee of $5.00 for probably over 4 years even though it has been connected to the telephone this whole time. I reviewed several statements and found that my bill has actually gone down from around $60 to $47. They removed my leased receiver fee and my TV2 receiver connection fee out of the blue.
My question is this.... I feel like I should be reimbursed for the years they have been overbilling me for the TV2 charge. But if I call them to request this, will they notice they've lowered my bill and raise it again? I've been a dish network customer for years, I have a 522 dual dvr. I've been out of contract for awhile.
Here's my billing examples....
Dec 2009 bill:
Dish Latino Dos $42.99
Dish Network Service Fee 5.98
Leased receiver fee 5.00
TV2 receiver connection 5.00
(you can save $5 by connecting to telephone)
Jan 2010 bill:
Dish Latino Dos $42.99
Dish Network Service Fee 5.98
Leased receiver fee 5.00
April 2010 bill:
Dish Latino Dos $39.99
DVR service 6.00
Thanks for any advice you can give me!
