Are SWM 16s generally available yet? It appears I'm going to be moving soon, and where I'm going, more than 1 hole per room is NOT going to be allowed, and I have 15 total tuners. Right now I have 2 Slimeline dishes, both with SWM8 LNBs, but I doubt they're going to install that.
I have only seen them pop up from posters in the test markets so far.
Any more dishes and people will begin to think you are an E* subscriber :D

So what will they do in this situation when I tell them I have 15 total tuners, and they can only run one cable into a room? Refuse to hook me up?
How long until you move? If its not immediately, the SWM16 might be available by the time you move.

They'll probably connect 2 SWM8's in parallel (that's what I have at home, though I did it myself).

+1 for this being my guess

It's going to be either this weekend or next.

Can all the receivers still see each other for MRV?

I live in Portland, one of the test markets and had a SWM16 installed as part of the DECA package.
When I asked the installer why the SWM16 was made available, as part of his answer he said that the @ SWM8 in parallel technique would not work for DECA MRV, as the ethernet signal wouldn't cross the signal bridge.
Only repeating what I was told, no personal expertise, but the guy did a great install and seemed to know his stuff.

That's pretty much true, although VOS did come up with a theoretical device that could work. I think the off the shelf parts were ~$30 give or take.

I believe there is a "cross-connect" that allows communication over the two SWiMs, however, it is limited to 100mb/s so that might limit simultaneous if you have enough DVRs for two SWiMs and are going cross clouds.

Where are VOS' plans? I can test it out. :)

Solid Signal is already selling them. They also got some Sexy new pictures of it  *drool*
UHHH $399. I have held off ordering D* after my last move since I have 10 tuners and wanted one of these. I wonder if they will now come with a "standard" install.
Haha I didn't realize that was an old thread. I read the the first post and then I was surprised to see I had already replied
They are $200 on eBay right now.
