hello, im looking to get with dish, if i get, say the EVERYTHING PAK and 3 months down the road i want to add international channels, is there a fee for that???

thanks

the cust service says it does since they have to come hook something up at home??, im assuming they will put up a 1000+ so i can get my HD off 129, since 118 would be already there dont know what else they would need

Many of the international channels used to be on 61.5. Is that no longer the case?

In any event, it would be real handy to know specifically which international channels/packages the OP was interested in.

I still see plenty of international channels (mostly in the red, however some are viewable) on 61.5. KBS World (Korea) is one of the international channels you can get without additional fees. TV Japan has daily free previews on their schedule. CCTV (China) is available in both English and Spanish. There are occasional free previews for other languages/countries as well. All with just 61.5 along with 119/110 (I believe CCTV is on one of the "core" satellites). And this is without the "Everything" pack. I have AT-250.

Most international is on the 118.7 orbital, some still are simulcast on 61.5. I'd recommend adding international from the start, so you get the right dish. Then it can be removed and added at will. Rather pay a $5 downgrade fee now than $100-199 for a dish upgrade later.
