I just hooked up the TV2 out to a four way splitter. When I have it set to Air 60 my really old GE CRT (for the kids) works fine. But the other 2 newer crts and computer tuner will find the signal on 116 but in black and white only? If I switch to cable 73 the old GE crt cant find the signal (does not go that high when scanning) but the other three work.

I figure the answer is to upgrade the really old GE, but I want to check to make sure I'm not missng something.

thanks

You need to re-run the tuner setup (Channel Auto-tune or something similar) on the 2 newer TVs, and select "Antenna" instead of "Cable" when you do so. Most newer TVs default to "cable", while older TVs defaulted to "antenna" and even older TVs ONLY worked with antennas and UHF frequencies.

Thanks so much. I was able to get the two newer TVs working but for some reason my Hauppauge win tv hvr 1250 computer tuner detects the channel but only plays static. This is not a big deal to me. Getting the other two was-thanks again

Your 1250 should have no trouble picking up UHF 60 (the default output channel when "antenna" is selected). I bet if you did a bit more troubleshooting, you could get it working too.

Good luck!

On your Hauppauge - it will only work if your card has an analog tuner. If it is digital only - no go.

I have a Haupauge HVR 1600 and and WinDVR250 and they work just fine on the analog RF input (for the 1600).

Edit - Ok - I just checked the Hauppauge site - you should be good to go. Again - set your Hauppauge to ANALOG OTA (and not analog cable ) and it should work fine.

THanks, after trying it all day I finally restarted the computer and had a tv show playing (instead of the Dish welcome logo)-picked it up no problem. Thanks again (my wife thinks im really smart).
