Ouch...Damn that's tough.
The goaltender might be partially responsible as well, don't you think? Not that he should have seen that coming. He could have made a great save, tho.

Earl....why must you post this and torment me? I already didn't sleep well last night.
The hockey gods do not favor my beloved Sharks. Year after year in the postseason, they do not favor us.

What a way to loose. I guess they have to suck it up and comeback the next night

Ouch...Holy macaroni!!!
I actually did something similar in a league game.
I was trying ot forehand one behind our net and get it up high to keep their forward from knocking it down. The idea is if the puck is coming to you head high, you'll duck. \
Yeah, I got it head high all right. Top shelved it past my goalie. Fortunately were winning in a romp.
BTW this reminds me of the infamous Steve Smith blunder for Edmonton when he put one past Fuhr and vaulted Calgary into the next round. Flames went on to win the Cup that season.

Could be worse. Could be this guy, the LATE Andrés Escobar. His own goal won the game for the USA and eliminated Columbia from the World Cup. The boys in Medellín were not happy.

I went to the game at the UC last Saturday.
I've been a Hawks fan since the 40's and, it was the most exciting game I've ever been to.
I yelled & screamed so much, so loud and so long that, when I got home and wanted to send some emails about it, I couldn't type as, my fingers were hoarse.
I am so ready for tomorrow night to blow away the Vancouver catnaps.
