For all those familar or have done indepth analysis, what anchors do you like when using in brick, cinder block, concrete, etc.
Lead, SnapToggle, Alligator, etc etc.
Just curious what you guys see/use in *the real world* applications versus what's on paper

Are you talking about using anchors for mounting dish masts?
I use the lead anchors since that is what we are supplied and we could technically fail a quality control inspection if we use any non-approved anchors. that being said, tap-cons work great. I wish we could still use them but the lead anchors work fine for me once I got used to them.
I also use the small anchor kit that has a 3/16 masonry bit supplied for fastening cable and switches and such.

Anchors have more bite and hold than just tapcons.
Question was more a ~general~ question....
But it would be inline with any screw anchor system in the above materials listed...
Nothing that I have seen holds better in cinderblock than 1/4" SnapToggles.

I use the TAPCONS even though my son called them WHAMCONS. I (we) also fill the drilled hole with silicone caulk and add a scrap of copper ground wire. Then I like to add a washer to the TAPCON because they just barely contact a mast base.
With all these attachments the bolts are much stronger than the material you drill into.

Toggeler Brands Hollow Wall Anchor. Similar to a traditional Alligator or Butterly anchor but easier to work with.....and a higher rated tensile strength.

"Molly-bolts", also, I think.
They insert into a drilled hole and snap open to hold from the inside with the opened arms.
They work pretty good but rust and I have not found a design rated for the Ka/Ku dish weight. Also they concentrate all weight to one area of a block wall.

Tapcons........
Lead drive anchors cannot be removed. (easily)
