New HD Package

Are the new HD channels in any particular package?

I have the old Turbo Silver. Will I get them if I change from hybrid (119/110/61.5) to all EA?

None of the new HD has appeared in the Dish Turbo HD Silver, now known as Dish America Silver, package. (It is a mystery why Dish Network bothered to rename Dish Turbo HD since they have apparently orphaned it.) The only new HD that we might get is QVC HD, if and when that is made available. And that may be only available on the 129 and 72.7 satellites.

If you have a full arc dish (either all EA or all WA) and are not getting the new channels (202 Headline News and 191 G4 would be two most recent additions) I'd say the package is frozen. Those with "Classic Silver 200" (now reverted to the "America's Top 200" name) have these channels.

It is a shame, but you may be right and only be able to get QVC as a new channel. America's Top 200 + SilverHD customers are getting 53 HD channels (52 outside of the Big Ten area). Plus PPV and RSN games. If you're not getting that in the orphaned "Silver" (and have a full arc setup) you're not likely to see more channels.

DISH likes to do this with old packages. You're getting the channel list you paid for but there is no guarantee that anything new will be added.
