What to do with old DVRs ?

We have two old DVRs:
DirectTV Tivo unit SD-DVR80
R15-500

Since these were purchased and not leased, I assume they are ours. Do we just dispose of them like any other old computer equipment?

You can try to sell them on eBay, but they don't fetch much. Otherwise your local electronics recycler with take them.

Really though, hang on to them as a spare or try to get what you can on ebay.

I might be interested in the SD DVR. My live-in girlfriend still makes liberal use of her old VCR along with the SD receiver she has on her TV.
