That would not cause it and KTVT to disappear from my EPG and systems.

check the dis net address broker.

Your address must not qualify any longer for the station dropped.

Dish was forced to requalify all distant net subs. The new maps they have to use has a lot less qualifying zip codes than the previous ones they were using.

The court issued a stay of that injunction earlier this week.

The court issued a stay of that injunction earlier this week.

The stay has nothing to do with if your particular address qualifies or not.

For example Key west florida under dish Networks old system to qualify an adress was elgible for all distan nets.

Under the new system dish must use most of the keys only qualify for cbs and fox.

The recent stay will not turn those signals back on.

It also does not stop dish net from turning off distant nets of houses that no longer qualify under the new maps dish net has to use.

It totally sucks. time to buy an rv or a "vacation home"

I guess "grandfathering" was just a figment of my imagination, like there was some part of SHVIA which said you could lose that by living in the same place.

only if your grandfather status was based on the inaccurate maps used by dish net or if you grandfathered from the days of being asked "do you get a clear picture?". From what i understand even if you were grandfathered if you live in a grade a area you are going to loose the distant nets. It totaly sucks.

JohnH, check the DirecTV distant local qualification for your address, and tell us what the results are. DirecTV's qualification states what stations claim coverage, and their signal grade to your location. This way, you have an idea what is happening.

I know what is happening now. They requalified my distants when I added locals. So, beware!!!

I lost my distants when I added a movie package. You just never know when they are going to run your addy through again...
I had to MOVE to my mountain time share to get them back.

I doubt that any amount of MOVING will get my KTVT Cowboys back. :)

I guess I will just have to watch the game in beautiful C band analog.

Please advise the website location to obtain this info for DIRECTV.....I know how to find the address broker for DISH. I did not know of this being available for DirecTV.

Weather you order or make changes eventualy dish will get to you. Even with the stay they are going to requalify every sub. The confrence call made mention of them running weekly scans. I am not a dealer or on the inside so I am not 100% clear as to what exactly dish net is doing in regards to locals.

Any one out there who is an expert or has inside info?

Any insight you could share would be greatly appreciated.
