Has anyone else experienced problems with ABC West KGO from San Francisco with All American Direct? Every afternoon the signal is spotty and doesn't come in good. This has been happening for a few weeks now but at night it is fine. I thought maybe it was something with our Dish or signal but all the other channels are fine so I don't understand why this keeps happening.

Its posible that its (what is commonly referred to as) Sun spots. This time of year, the sun lines up behind satelites an effectively 'blinds' dishes. So perhaps, AAD's downlink is being obliterated for a few mins. Does it happen at the same time each day? If so, it should pass within a few weeks.

Sunspot outage was over a month ago. Sun is WAY north of the Clarke belt now.

Yes, usually in the mid-afternoons between 1 and 3.

Everything else is fine. I've discovered that when it records on 246 on Tuner 2 the signal is fine. It is only when you watch or record on Tuner 1, the signal is messed up.

Normally, I'd think Tuner 1 had a problem, but I haven't noticed any other channel having a problem when viewing or recording on Tuner 1 which is the living room TV and Tuner 2 is hooked up to a bedroom and used for recording.

Lately, the box has been shutting off and rebooting out of the blue when watching a show. I hope the box isn't going out or the hard drive. It is a 722 and not quite a year old.

Have you done a hard reboot (unplug the 722, wait 20 seconds, plug it back in and let it do its thing which takes about 10 minutes)? Many times a software update seems to need that and we just had one.
