no is the short answer.

With a Terk Leapfrog and a receiver you can watch whats on the Tivo in whatever room you want to.
And with RF repeaters you can control that Tivo receiver from any room too.

Just don't have anyone walk or stand between the signal, or use your 2.4 mhz cordless phone! The picture completely goes to crap!
