What to buy with new 811 receiver?

I plan to buy a new HDTV in the next 24 hours.

What will work best with the new DIsh Network 811 receiver.

The new Mitsubish 55" or Sony 57" 510 model or a 57" toshibia

Comparison based on the jacks on the 811 or anyone currently using either TV with the current Dish HD receivers.

Please pst advice. Cant decided.

The 811 from what I have been told will have component, s-video, and the DVI output. DVI of course is the best, but some controversy has been going around on what protocal the industry will use. HDTV manufactuers outfitted their televisions with DVI, but now firewire has been a big issue of discussion. I will just put it this way, .....If you get the 811, use the component video outputs instead of the DVI or anything else. Personally I think you cant go wrong with component. THe bare eye WILL NOT see the difference between DVI and component video. Just my experience. Not to mention a heck of alot cheaper. When you get the tv, at least make sure it has at least 2 component inputs and check for the DVI if you choose to use it. I hope this helps.

Scottchez you are asking about a product that isn't available. It hasn't gotten to the warehouses yet for all we know it may not even be in production yet. You can bet when it does get to the market place Sept. OCT. Nov. ETC. it will have bad software in it by previous DISH history. Both brands you are considering are good so buy the one that best fits your needs and wallet don't worry about DISH'S product.

I went with Mitsubushi.

Almost all of the other brands had slooped backs and you can not put the Dish Recevier on top (it would slide off).

The 811 will work with any resonable HDTV monitor/TV. Pick which TV you like the best.

Now I am worried again.

THe new Mitsubishi can not convert 720p like some of the other models.

With the Sat HD recevievers all do the conversion up or down?
