OK, I liked that line. And I liked Ms. Scherzinger's and Mr. Hough's freestyle. It's a shame that it wasn't perfect... it was so close. Easily the best dance of the (mediocre) season.
I'm surprised that after all of this, the judges seem to have gotten a little integrity late in the season, with scores being given out fairly and reasonably.
Who should win? That's a no-brainer. I do think that the producers are trying to create an upset and get Ms. Andrews into the number two spot.
I was far less invested in this season, but compared to my experiences with American Idol I was much happier with this program.

Evan came across as the Stacy Kiebler of the season didn't he? Great shows up until now, and he chokes away the final?
I'm hoping Nicole gets the mirrored ball. That was one hell of a freestyle, mistake and all. Her and Derek really deserve this one.
Evan was just ok. He seemed to be holding back or being extra-cautious or something. He just didn't look natural.
I gotta give Erin credit; she looked good - better than Evan, but that's not really saying much.
How will it go? Who knows. Voters are finicky people that don't always reward talent.
The biggest shocker of the finale season is not Lost, its Nicole winning Dancing with the Stars. ;) With Evan in Second and Erin in third. It's an outcome no one could have predicted until seconds after they announced the cast. :D
Pretty funny, since they all did the Argentine Tango, it was a good comparison. I thought Nicole actually looked like she danced better than Anna.

Good one! :D Of course, on this show dance skill doesn't always count.
The funny thing to me is how everyone went nuts for Erin's freestyle. If they think that was good, they really need to watch SYTYCD (starting Thursday). Those kids would have raised the bar x5 on that one dance!
Nicole is far and away the best dancer, as she should be with her natural skills and having started lessons as a young child. Evan and Erin have had training--Evan in dance moves probably, but not dance. Didn't they show a young Erin taking dance lessons?
Anyway, I think I'm just burned out on this show. I hate the amount of time they waste each week and their contestant selection which leaves us watching horrible Kate and Buzz (I admire Buzz Aldrin for many things, but that doesn't mean he should be on a dance show). If they run another season of this right after SYTYCD, I may take a "pass" on it. If they wait until January, I may be ready to watch again, but I'm guessing it will be on in the Fall again.
I recorded the show and haven't seen it yet, but if Nicole actually won, it'll be one of the few times the voters have actually met my expectations. Whatever her background, the point remains that she was allowed to compete, and as such, proved to be the most talented. Good for her! :D

Sorry, Henry, that we spoiled the end, but I know you'll enjoy the dancing. :sure:
Here's one part of the problem with this season, which means they will have other contestants like her, much to my dismay (from msnbc.com today): "According PopEater, the star of the upcoming TLC show “Twist of Kate” earned $500,000 for her brief five-week run on the show, and given the ratings boost she brought to the 10th season of the ballroom bash, she was a good investment.
“Kate earned over $100,000 per week on ‘Dancing,’ ” an insider revealed. “She's a single mom who has to pay the bills and feed those eight little mouths all by herself. Say what you want about her, but Kate will do anything to make sure her children have a bright future. Even making a fool out of herself on national TV.”
The original idea for the show was to take celebrities, famous for some area of entertainment other than dancing, and teach them to dance. Nicole has never been anything other than a dancer/singer, and though I enjoyed her performances, she didn't struggle with the dances at all. Having Len say that she should win before Evan even danced was a travesty, which, unfortunately, also sums up the season for me. :nono:

No need to apologize, Charise. I don't mind spoilers, and if I did, I can simply ignore the thread until I've caught up (watched). :)
I understand your frustration with the show. Premise and practice don't always find common ground. But it's been this way all along. Every celebrity negotiates their renumeration. Some based on tenure, some not. I looked this up a few seasons ago, and it doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon.
Flagging ratings almost guarantees that recruiting stage-savvy celebrities will continue. It's a survival thing, and there's not much we can do about it, except not watch. For all my bellyaching, I enjoy the program, and moreso when good dancers are there. So given a choice, I'll opt for the entertainment value and take a pass on the competitive thing.
Bring on Betty White!!! :D

I think I'd rather just watch the Macy's segments. :D

That could be a good alternative, too. :D
