Ratings Lock

I just got my 508. It seems that if I record a locked show on the 508, I need to put in the password to view it later. On my 721 it can be viewed later without the password.

Is this how your 508 or 721 is?

My 721 requires the password to view recorded content that was locked under my Ratings and Channels lock.

I do not own a 721 but that is how my 501/508 operate. Annoying but no biggie....

Correct. If the program/channel is ordinarily locked (for example: "R" rated movies I don't want my 9
year old watching), it remains locked after being recorded and I have to enter a password each time
I want to view it.

I double checked my machines. My 508 does that too. My 721 doesn't.

Anyone else with a 721 have to enter a password?
