8/21 Result+A Special Announcement

Needless to say, tonight result has been surprising.

Pending verification, JBKing has squeezed in between Z'Loth and Mark Lamutt with the best result on the race. Needless to say, I an very surprised at the results. He now has a 1 in 27.6 chance of winning the prize. Overall, the average is a 1 in 70 chance of winning.

Which leads to the announcement. On Thursday, August 28th at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT, we will be holding a live chat where the following will be announced:

* The Last Castle drawing.
* Grand prize drawing
* First prize drawing

Now, remember, I only promised "The Two Towers: Theatrical Version/Extended Edition" and "The Two Towers: Theatrical Version" as prizes. But, I have given away a few more prizes. Who knows what I will pull of next?

An maybe Mark LaMutt will even have some preliminary news about the upcoming Survivor: Pearl Islands/Panama contest.

Man I was so close to choosing Chip & Reichen for Leg 13 but talked myself out of it when I saw everyone else was choosing David & Jeff. I think I would have tied you for first place if I had. :bang

Thanks Z'Loth for running the show. It was fun and made it more interesting. I almost voted for Chip & Reichen, but though that Reichen would blow a fuse and fade.

I am bummed I missed that one week. If I had voted I would have been top dog!! Damn.. Could kick my self. Well hopefully luck will be on my side and I will win the Extended version. I assume the extended version is the 4DVD version that releases in November?

Just got back from Best Buy (I am having a bleeping wonderful day), and I do have three copies of Two Towers widescreen plus a nice little bonus that the winners will find.

Oh, and BTW, one of those copies is mine.... :) Unfortunately due to the timing of the broadcasts, I will NOT be able to get the prizes to you by Labor Day weekend. (I thought that the series finale would be two hours long).

I looked at the prizes and I am a bit confused. What the the Leg Prizes? How was those determined? Also, it looks like the better prize is being awarded to people that voted in all the pools vs. the grand prize? I would think the Grand Prize would be the best prize. From the prize list it looks like I am only eligible for one prize. Being that I came in 4th I would think I would eligible for more than just one. :( Am I reading this wrong? I am so confused. LOL

The leg prizes was awarded in legs 5 and 10. It was a detour, where the only clues were "Spider Man"/"Hollow Man" and "Peacemaker"/"Castle".

I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. Tune in tomorrow and find out.

Anyway, From what I read it looks like the participation prize is better than the Grand Prize. Is this correct? I would think the grand prize would be the the both editions of Two Towers and the participation being the single one.
