very loud fan?

I just go my computer back, after sending it away for warranty work on the 15th of August. Everything works fine, but now there is a very loud whining fan type noise, that wasn't there before. It is very annoying and I think I might have to send it back in again. What could they have done, to create a noise, where one wasn't there before?

If you're not too shy to open the case, do so and take a look at the cables near the CPU cooling fan. Could be that one of the cables is brushing up against the fan causing the noise. This can happen during shipping. Your power supply fan may have also come out of alignment. If that's the case, you would be best served calling the repair company for advice.
