My dish 508 is losing signal on 119

My dish 508 is losing signal on 119 and odd transponders. Its a morning problem, gets better in the afternoon. We have been having hot and humid weather lately.

For example, in the morning I can't get fox news on 205 yet cnn on 200 comes in great. So I checked the signal strength and it looks like the odd transponders on 119 don't come in.

I have a 508, dishplayer, and 6000. The 508 is the only one having the problem. I have a switch 64 with a dish 500 and another dish for HD / locals.

What should I do next?

Sounds like you want to trim back the cable ends & replace the connectors on the drop from the SW64 to the PVR508. Make sure that condensed moisture won't wick into the end by means of "drip loops" if they aren't already there.

Come to think of it, though, it seems to me that moisture in the cable knocks out the even T's 1st. Still, if the 508 is the only one with the problem I'd check the connectors on that cable.

If the problem persists and you lose other transponders on that receiver the tuner is going bad. I had to replace my own PVR 501 for that reason after about 16 months.
