I inquired about Club Dish. After I received the paperwork I read that if the new subs use the Club Dish system to install, the system offered is not as good as the latest offer from Dish. It is a two room/301 system.

Currently the offer in our area is the new 510/301 setup. Before that it was a system with up to four receiver installed free. Maybe the old subs can get $5 off a month by getting new subs to sign up but from what I can see the new subs aren't getting anything to make it worth it to them.

I haven't checked but is it possible that new subs using Club Dish would automatically get the latest system?

Club Dish will knock off $50 with any new sub program. For example the DVR/301 offer thats listed on Dish's website shows you pay $49.99, then get a credit of $49.99 on your first bill making it free. With Club Dish, the new sub doesn't have to pay the $49.99.

Probably the only people who hate the Club, are the installers. They are the ones that end up paying for it.

I called retail services yesterday for a customer that wanted to use Club Dish for his daughter. Retail services said the certificates were due to expire August 31st. The customer said his were extended to Sept. 30th. Either experiation date use them NOW before they are worthless.

Thanks guys. It makes sense to give the new sub some kind of break. Otherwise they would have no reason to sign up with the Club other than to do a favor for the person who refered them to Dish. The cards I received expire September 30th. They really don't give you a lot of time.

Bob, they will always extend the date (until they completely get rid of the program). Just ask for new certificates at the end of September if you haven't used them.
