Your order is confirmed for the De La Hoya vs. Mosley boxing match on Saturday, September 13th on channels 455/470
That is the message that appeared on The Weather Channel on the 721 then when changing channels I could only get blank screens on both tuners. What the heck is up with this? I never ordered the dang match and better not get charged for it either.

The dang piece of junk is not responding to remote commands at times either, what the heck is going on? I hope a hard reboot fixes this. Why all the dang software problems now? I never had so many problems with the 721's.
That's what you get with BETA testing DISH software. You know the 721 has been out for a year and they are still trying to find software that will work.

yeah i noticed my 301 downstairs wouldn't respond to remote commands. At first i thought it was the remote extender i put on it (so my sister could watch satellite in her room) then i tried to press the power button and it would shut off so I had to unplug it and plug it back in.
what gives?

It still wanted to be sluggish without some responses to remote commands after I rebooted it but it seems to be working ok now. I got a faint view of that boxing screen even after the reboot until it returned to normal programming content on the channel.

How much are you paying for the boxing? If I were you I would unplug the thing entirely during the match so you dont get charged for a PPV
But, But, Buuuut what about Jen's cooking shows Bob!

It said in the Purchase History that there was nothing ordered. If Dish wants to charge for things I did not purchase then that is crossing the boundaries for me and may have to switch to DirecTv or wait for Rainbow to come out. I know of others that got charged for expensive sports programming that they did not purchase and Dish like never removed the charges, said that they most definitely purchased them or it would not have showed up on the bill as being purchased.
END OF SUBJECT: don't watch the match, if the order was placed by you or by someone else and you do not want to pay for it , DON'T WATCH IT. Then they can't charge you for it. If the event was ordered on your receiver then I would think it should show up as an ordered event until at least after you have watched the event..... If the order was placed by another means, via the internet or telephone, and you don't want to pay for the match, don't watch it.

why not just call them up and cancel it if it was indeed ordered. Not that hard to do.

Yes I did and its not listed, I checked it after the screen came up. I am not worried about it, I just thought it was interesting to see it come up as it did. It has not done this since.
