The last several days I have been seeing the announcement "This is a special event which is not available for purchase" on channel 9425. Usually the announcement is different. That leads me to believe that Dish is testing something on 9425. Does anyone have any idea what is being aired?

I get it on 148 but you need a model 6000 and the 8PSK module to receive it. It an HD Special Events Channel.

Boba,

Channel 9425 is on both 148 and 61.5. It is the HDTV "events" channel. It is generally not visible on the EPG unless you have a 5000 receiverver with the HDTV adaptor or the 6000.

Some channels in the 9400 range require the 8psk adaptor.

Take a look at www.dishchannelchart.com

See ya
