since my bill stays rather constant (until price hike, of course) i don't check the "details" too often. i didn't hear of the latest price hike, so, when i noticed the bill went up on the latest statement, i checked it out.

just curious about this: there is a $6 charge that comes under the name "current charges". is this what they used to call the fee for "locals"? that was the only thing i could come up with.

$6 could be a dvr fee or a fee for the service plan. Definitely wouldn't be for locals as they don't have a separate charge for those anymore.

If you are an annual subscriber to ATxxx, it doesn't include the locals fee and that is a separate line item. $6 is also the fee for not having a qualifying package, but I think the name on the bill would include "access fee".

"current charges" sounds more like a heading for line items (my printed bill calls that "Monthly Charges") than a description of a particular item. Or a description of a subtotal??

Your best bet may be to contact a CSR by phone or chat and ask what the fee is for.

If you are billed by some third party, you should mention it.
