View Full Version : NASCAR - No drastic changes expected for points system

NASCAR has been toying with different ways to change the points system, ranging from awarding extra bonuses for victories and poles and changing the way points are given to cars finishing at the back of the pack.

They should keep it like it is.

Yeah, last year was close. I don't know why they'd want to change it. The only change I'd entertain, would be to cut off the incentive for people with wrecked cars who are in 30+ place to keep them from running. They don't add anything to the race running without hoods and sheet metal, getting in the way of the faster cars, only to improve from 39 to 32nd. Just give everyone 30th and worse the same flat point reward and they'll pack up and get off the track.
Unless of course they think there's a chance they'll finish 29th.
