Cuban says sky's the limit for HDNet (http://www.indystar.com/print/articles/2/070331-6782-105.html)

Mark Cuban, billionaire, entrepreneur and colorful owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, will give the keynote address Friday at the annual trade show of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association in the Indiana Convention Center. Cuban earned a business degree from Indiana University, and the first business he ran was Motley's Pub in Bloomington.

He made his money co-founding two computer firms: MicroSolutions, which sold to CompuServe, and Broadcast.com, a provider of streaming audio and video on the Internet, which sold to Yahoo! for nearly $6 billion. Cuban now is president of HDNet, a high-definition television network he co-founded in 2001. HDNet's programming, found on a handful of cable and satellite services, offers sports, movies, news and other shows.

Cuban: "There isn't a lot of HD programming available, so HDNet has had to make the development of great programming in HD a core competency. We currently produce more content in HD than anyone else."

If HD ever becomes mainstream, it will be due, in large part, to Mark Cuban's vision.
