You guys are pretty good with this type of stuff so I feel I should mention it here. I have windows XP, and the latest verson of Internet Explorer, whenever I open it up the page will load, then two seconds later an add appears on the top of the page, it won't load, it's just there and I have to close the program with CTRL ALT DLT, it's getting so annoying and it happens on every webpage I visit on Internet Exploer, and I've tried switiching home pages too but the same thing happens, I think it's built right into it and I have to get rid of it by going into the Internet Explorer files or something...
Much help would be great, I'm using Netscape and need me IE back! :p

You have spyware that has done a browser hijack. There are are several products out there. There was a thread discussing them here. Do a search here for "spyware".

Search for Ad Aware, it will get rid of the bugger. :D

Thanks guys, I thought it had something to do with spyware but at first I was a little shocked because I downloaded something for Kazaa Lite, some sort of speed up, and the next to I know I'm seeing spyware on my IE webpages and it has to load fully before you can click it off or it will make a beep.
I'm downloading right now, any other suggestions? I mean, should I just perform the search, mark all of the spyware in my system and just wipe it all out?

Yup thats all you do, I run it about once a week.
Also I suggest getting the google toolbar at http://toolbar.google.com it will block those pesky popups for you. :D

Check out Spybot Search and Destroy. Should do the trick for you SkiManiac.

Also consider using Spywareblaster which prevents spyware from being installed in the first place.

Try Alt-F4 to close the window.
What I would do is download a Spyware cleaner like AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com and immediately do a update. Then, go offline, go into the control panel, and select "Use Blank" as the home page, and delete all files from the cache. Run the Adaware. Then, reconnect and go to your normal home page.
As for pop-ups, Mozilla and MyIE2 have built-in pop-up ad blockers.

I downloaded Ad Aware only because I was familier with the way it worked and I got rid of the little bugger, finally... The hillarious thing is that I was trying all morning long to tap into the IE files by searching for them and looking for a program I wasn't familer with, there was none but you guys were right it had something to do with a Spyware program and before I let you all know how much spyware was on my computer I'd like to just suggest that if you're eating drinking, carrying around something hot or are standing you may not want to here...
147 freaking infected files, how did these get on there?
Thanks guys.
