Hi,
I currently have 3 DTivo's and 1 HGTV reciever which currently account for 7 of my eight outputs on my 5X8 switch. I am scheduled to recieve another DTivo ($99 FF special) but as I only have 1 output left I was wondering what the installer will do. I called D and asked but they really didn't have anything to add other than the installwe would get it to work.
To me, it would make more sense (& Prob. cheaper) to put up another dish (closer to the second story) as this unit is going in my bedroom on the second story while all other equipment is fed off my multiswitch located in my basement. It sounds like the installer will try a cascaded switch and run the cables up to my second story.
I'm taking the day off to meet with these guys tomorrow as I don't trust me wife to know what is appropriate or not.
Any ideas or suggestions?
