Samsung SIR-TS160

I posted this on another site and never got a response, I'll try it here. Has anyboyd with the TS160 received the latest software update (1.0.10). I've had my receiver for a little over a week and once or twice a day it tries to accept a software update (my current software version is 1.0.06). It always fails and I get a little message on my screen telling me so. I've called Samsung and DirectTv. Samsung said it was DirectTv's fault and they were working on it, DirectTv said the problems was with Samsung's software. Has anybody received this upgrade from DirectTv?

My T-160 has received a couple of upgrades since I got it, the last one being the 1.0.10 release on 5-20-03.
I have read of some other people having trouble with the upgrade, but maybe it was another post of yours.
You should be able to get the upgrade if you are able to get the 101-deg main DTV satellite on both (even and odd) polarities. If you don't get both polarities, the guide won't complete its download.
Make sure that your system is setup for the dish that you have, and that the dish is picking up the satellite(s) that it is supposed to.

Thanks. Apparently, it is a problem with the DirectTv signal and, supposedly, it is being worked on. They are very aware of the issue and number of people are having this problem. (No problem with my sat signal--101 is strong--even and odd polarities). Hopefully, the problem will be corrected very shortly.
Although, I'm not sure what the .10 upgrade corrects. Am I missing anything?

Checked when I got home from work today and I now have the .10 software upgrade. I guess the problem with the DirectTv
signal or whatever was resolved. Still not sure what this software upgrade fixes.
